Been a while.

Helloooo

So i havent written since i got my new laptop, basically because i am LAZY :).
I love my new laptop, its so purrrrdy!
A lot has been going on since then though. Firstly, Karen (my manager) went on a trip to Manager school for Carlson. So all of last week I played manager, but because of personal issues between me and the person that works the front desk I avoided this place for all that it is worth. She tries to push every button and if i tell her to knock it off she gets bent out of shape. Since we couldnt afford to loose her I couldnt piss her off so I just avoided the situation.
On top of that I started doing physical therapy again for my knee because it was hurting so badly I couldn't stand it anymore. I also went to the doctor for my stomach (since I was sick in Utah) and he wanted me to get an echocardiogram done and see my cardiologist.
That was a piece of work, let me tell you! I went to make an appointment for my echo and they told me they didn't have any appointments open because they were doing some type of training so to keep calling and as soon as they had an appointment they would give it to me. Then i told them I needed to see the cardiologist afterwards and they were like oh well his wife is about to have twins so he only gives us a few appointments per day, etc etc.. Well because of that they got me in to get my echo last friday (i first tried to make the appt tuesday, but finally was able to make it when i called thursday). And i saw the cardiologist on wednesday of this week.
The doc told me everything looks great.. well as great as it can look. There have been no changes to my echo which is fantastic! We have decided to increase one of my medications to try to help the pain I get when walking. I ALWAYS feel like I am having a heart attack just because of the way my heart is. We also talked about trying a new medication to help with the pain, but we will see if this dosage increase works first.
So now everything is good to go. YEAH!!
Now if only i didnt have to work tonight because people usck then life would be just dandy!

Oh and Kurt (our previous manager) is going to come visit next week for a day which will be awesome! Can't wait to see him, even though I will be seeing him next month when we go to DC...

I forgot to tell everyone.. i got a new lap top last night :) My old one was considered junk and I got a "no lemon refund" YEAH!! I had 799 to spend but spent 849.. plus i got a warranty on this one.. So its was 350 + tax, but not bad for what i got. Here is a link to the specs

Lalala..
I am at work right now and have nothing left to do. I got here at 6:30 this morning because i couldn't sleep and I wanted to get stuff done so I could go home early.. Little did I know I would be done THIS early. I have been done for about an hour! I also did it to piss Nikki off so should wouldn't be able to eat the hotel breakfast since I saw the dishes in the trash yesterday that could only have been from her. Sadly she wasn't very pissed, just keeps talking about the vending machine and asking Pablo (maintenance) to get her lunch later. So it is still quite amusing.
Karen isn't coming in today which is a good thing. This is the first day she has taken off since she started working here. She has to get ready to leave for "school" on Sunday. She has Monday & Tuesday in Omaha, Nebraska and Wednesday-Friday in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Poor her :) But she is okay with it for the most part because there is a casino near her hotel in Omaha... (actually the meeting is in Omaha the hotel is in something bluffs Iowa.. about 4 miles away) Should be lots of fun for her :)
Well I should go wrap up my stuff and go to the bank. Then I can go home :)

Inspection

Wow, what a day today was. We had our inspection by Carlson today at work and it just sucked. Thank God it ended up not being the "official" inspection. Instead Bill just told us how the inspection works. While he did the inspection it doesn't really count. Now we know what they look for and how the numbers work. What they expect from each property. He should be doing another inspection before the end of the year, though the way inspections are done will be changing with the new year. That should be interesting.
Other then that things are pretty much the same at work.. Shitty. I really want another job but I can't take a pay cut so I don't know what I am going to do. Its also scary to think about another job because right now I have job security. Unless I really fuck up they won't get rid of me, not right now at least.
Well now that the bills are paid and the kitchen is stocked, it is time to relax for the night :)

Babbling

Yeah! i get to write again.. yesterday I had so much to write and i started on the drive to meet my family in NC to get Chip back... I was writing the blog from Dan's cell phone but it only allows 1024 characters...:( so i was going to do multiple blogs with all that I had to say but it wouldn't let me post the blog. I could have cried! lol..The sad thing is I can't remember all that I had to say...but I still have a lot of other things to say!

I am so glad to have the Chippers back. He is just so cute... we actually forgot how small and adorable he is! Pictures just don't do him justice. He was so excited when he saw us, but he was scared of my cousin Luke. Luke is 4, i think, and is extremely infatuated with Chip, but he moves a little too fast for Chip.

It was nice visiting with my family in NC. We got to see Lars, Connie, Luke and Hannah and my great Aunt Toots. Toots seems to be doing well, or as well as can be expected. Hannah is ADORABLE! She has the same chubby cheeks as the first time I saw her but she has gotten so tall. She is 19 months old now and only started walking like a month or two ago.

While we were at Lars and Connie's house Dan's brother Garrett started text messaging him about the new computer game that came out called Spore. Dan knew it was coming out but was going to wait until today(Monday) to purchase the game because he had today off. Instead Garrett is telling him how cool the game is and stuff so Dan decided we had to get it then! We have the best buy rewards card and had $45 in certificates so I wanted to order it online and do the in store pick up. Well that was all fine and dandy until we got to the best buy new Lars and Connie's and the inventory people who get those orders and fill them weren't paying attention. After almost 2 hours we finally got the damn game. Then drove home.

We got home about 10pm and Dan hasn't stopped playing the game since. It kind of sucks. He had all day today to do things, and he didn't do ANYTHING!. It really sucks because there is a lot of stuff we have a hard time getting done since we both work mon-fri. It would have been really convenient if he did things around the house today. But oh well i guess. Just more work for me to do.
On top of all of that we got a letter a few weeks ago from the apartment telling us we owed them money because they needed to fix the carpet. They were asking us for almost $1000. Anyways, we finally went in today to pay for it and asked them why our pet deposit wasn't put towards that. The girl said it was non-refundable and could not be put toward what we owed them, but when she read the paper we signed about the pet fee is said that it was refundable and therefore could be put toward the carpet. So in the end it cost us just short of $600, which still sucks but is A LOT better then $1000.
Another great thing about only having to pay $600 instead of $1000...
I can get a new camera that much sooner!! I am soooo excited. I finally choose which camera I am getting. It is the Nikon P80. It is a point and shoot camera and isn't too big. I wanted something a little slimmer then what I have, but the zoom on this camera is incredible.. its 18x!!!

I am so excited. I can get the camera, an extra battery, a soft case and an 8GB memory card for about $400 on amazon... Though I am thinking about getting the camera itself from best buy with the 2 year warranty.
SO EXCITED!!!

I am so pissed. Dan's phone broke so we went to get new phones but for retarded reasons only his phone can be upgraded not mine. So he got this nice phone, which yea would have bummed me out under normal circumstances but really pissed me off today because all he does is bitch about having a phone and how we should cancel the extra line and phones have to much shit on them.. Yet he gets a phone with all the bells and whistles.. where I on the other hand use my phone tons. When he started getting mad that I was mad I tried to explain but he told me I was acting like a child. All i want is him to understand why i am pissed that he got a new phone and I cant.

I HATE snow. yes SNOW! its snowing in the mountains and we were supposed to go zip gliding and stuff today bcuz dan wouldnt take me last week!
