Vacation Day 1 -Traveling

We are in Utah now.. YEAH!!

But yesterday I wrote a blog from my cell and it was nice and long and when it posted it posted all retarded and was mostly "?" I could cry! lol

Anyways I still have on my phone what I posted so here it goes..

"So here I am sitin gin the airport beyond ready to board the flight and get away for a while but then i think about the Chip and i miss him so much and its only been an hour since i left his cute butt with my dad. I think its more the anticipation of missing him for 2 weeks then anything else at this point. I think it will really hit me when we go to bed with out him. ive never gone to bed w dan but with out chip since we got him. its only with out both of them or with out dan but with chip. it will be so wierd.
well since i am running out of room and its time to get asnack for the flight and use the potty here cause they are nicer then the ones on the plane.. thats what theagaent just told us. lol! here we go!"


Yesterday wasnt too bad. I have 2 laptop batteries and they lasted the whole day which rocked. We had a very short layover, just long enough to get to our next gate, grab food get back tot he gate and get on the plane. We ended up eating on the plane while they finished getting ready for departure. The second flight started off pretty funny though. We got on the plane and dan started to put his bag under the chair in frount of us like he was supposed to do and the woman started tellinghim he couldnt put it under her chair because that is where her stuff is and there is breakable stuff in it so he said okay and just kept it at his feet while we quickly ate our lunch and let people finish boarding. Right before we finished eating (we were going to put his bag up when we were done) the flight attendant came over and told the row in front of us (the bulk head) that the space under their seats was ours not hers.. she was pissed! it was awesome. So she had to move her stuff and dan got to put his stuff under the chair.. Sucks for her!

Anyways that was the extent of our excitement. When we got here we met up with Ben and Tiff and tried to go see a movie but all the movies we were interested in didnt start for over an hour so we gave up grabbed some TacoTime and came back to Barrys and started to watch a movie here.

Tonight Barry will get back in town and things will pick up a little more.. I am going to go read more of my book.. :)

What a day today has been... I had to go to the orthopedic today. Originally I was going for my wrist since I twisted it a few weeks ago but decided to have my knee looked at also. I had a cortizone shot previously so I was hoping to get one today because my knee has been killing me lately. Of course the doctor starts playing with my knee and testing how mobile my knee cap is. He also told me that a cortizone shot was not an option because it actually deteriorates the cartilage which can make the whole problem worse. He did however say that on top of having a loose knee cap that i have tendonitis in my knee. He gave me a referal for physical therapy so that I can get some special therapy pulsating ultra sound stuff for the tendonitis. I am excited, I just hope it will feel better. Of course I have to get through the next two weeks, but that will be vacation so it will be great!
I am so excited for vacation but also kind of bummed. The whole trip started out one way and is now completely different. It really sucks though because we changed our flight we have to pay to check in luggage! How crappy is that. I understand having to pay for luggage if you have more then one piece, but paying fo rthe first piece thats just sucky!

So after my doctor appointment I went home to relax for a bit but got a phone call from Karen ( my boss) saying that her boss was at the hotel. As soon as I heard that Dave (Karen's boss) was there I knew i had to get to work right away because he woul dbe sitting talking to her and none of the reports would be done. Once I got to work I did the daily report and went ot the bank. Karen told me that Dave was pissed but wasnt sure about why exactly. When I went to the bank Dan called and we went to lunch at Chili's, it was soo good and nice to be away from the hotel. WHen i got back from the hotel I did the weekly report, with some help from Karen and had it done in less then an hour. That was a record. I usually take a little longer then that but Dave was waiting for the report because he was going to take it with him instead of us paying to fed ex it.

So overall, today was very busy and long and i am very exhausted.
I'm going to watch the end of Secret Life of an American Teenager and then The Hills.. (yes I know I am a dork!)

Vacation Flight Schedule

Dan and I are leaving on vacation next weekend! I am so excited minus the fact that Chip is not going with us. I am really nervous right now about him not being with us because he has been so sick all day. He had tons of bug bites and has been throwing up. Just now because Dan won't put the fence back up Chip took off and we had to go find him. No idea where he was but he just showed back up. But this is going to be the longest I have been away from him since we have gotten him. So far I have only been away from him for 2 nights, and it was 2 separate nights. Each time I was in the hospital over night for surgery. I don't know what I am going to do with out him for 2 weeks. My dad is driving down to pick him up on Thursday (Aug 21) and then on Friday (Aug 22) my dad is driving him down to South Carolina. There he will stay for 2 weeks until we can meet my mom half way to pick him up (Sept 6).
Daniel and I were originally supposed to leave for California on Aug 23, then fly to Utah on Aug 28 and then fly home Sept 2. But after lots of problems we have changed our flight to go to Utah on Aug 23 and come home on Sept 2. We will not be going to California at all. It sucks I wanted to go for a lot of reasons but the main reason blew up in my face and just made the whole trip too hard.

At this point in time our only plans while we are in Utah is Barry and Vickie's wedding on Aug 31.

I can't wait until we leave I am glad for a vacation, but I also can't wait until we get back so that life can just continue and hopefully be calmer... especially in the work aspect of it all.
